Q: What Charities does the Shelter Island Run benefit?
A: This
year, proceeds from the Shelter Island Run will benefit three different
local charities. For more information on these groups and
organizations, please call or visit the following websites:

Q: How do I enter the Shelter Island 10K Run/5K Walk?
A: There are three ways to register for the 2010 race:

Q: Can I get my entry fee refunded if I cannot run on June 19th?
A: Entry
fees are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to participate but
would like to receive the 2010 race T-shirt, please call (631) 749-7867
or email your shirt size and physical mailing address to director@shelterislandrun.com and we will send you your official 2010 race packet.
Q: Can I register on race day?
A: Entries close at 2,500 participants. If that field is not reached, a very limited number of race day entries may be accepted. However, there is no guarantee that race day entries will
be accepted, and the entry fee is $40 after June 16th. It is strongly recommended you register in advance. Click here to register.
Q: Is there an elite field?
A: Yes. Contact Lorraine Gorman at lskbj@optonline.net if your current 10K time is under 30:30 (male) or 37:00
(female). Waived entry fees, lodging, and a chance at the prize money
are available for our elite runners.
Q: What lodging is available on Shelter Island?
A: Shelter
Island is home to some of the finest inns and bed & breakfasts on
the East Coast. For a full listing of available accommodations, contact

VIA SOUTH FERRY
FROM MANHATTAN
Take Queens/Midtown tunnel. Take 495 east until to Exit 70. Turn right
at "yield" sign to Route 27 east. Continue on 27 through the town of
Bridgehampton. At traffic light, turn left onto County Road 79 through
Sag Harbor (4 miles) to Stop sign at flag pole. Go left over bridge on
114 north for 3 miles to the South Ferry.
FROM THE LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY (495)
Take 495 East to Exit 70. Turn right at "yield" sign to Route 27 east.
Continue on 27 through the town of Bridgehampton. At traffic light,
turn left onto County Road 79 to Sag Harbor. Take 79 through Sag Harbor
to stop sign at flag pole. Go left over bridge on 114 for 3 miles to
the South Ferry.
FROM NEW ENGLAND
Take 95 south to Exit 84 south to downtown New London Connecticut. At
second light go left onto Gov. Winthrop Blvd. Cross railroad tracks and
go right to the Cross Sound Ferry. Reservations are required and can be
made at (860) 443-5281. Disembark at Orient Point. Take 25A west (9
miles) to the flashing light. Make a left at light and travel 1 mile to
Greenport. At the next flashing light go right for 2 blocks to traffic
light. Make a left at the light and travel for 1 block to ferry to
Shelter Island.

Schedule: Shuttle service runs every 10-15 minutes from 5:40 am until 1:45 am.
Last boat from Shelter Island back to Sag Harbor 1:45am.

Schedule: Shuttle service runs every 15-20 minutes from 5:40 am until 12:45 pm from Shelter Island; no reservation required.
Q: Can I purchase a race t-shirt without entering the race?
A: Yes.
Each shirt is $20 (which includes shipping and handling costs). Shirts
are available in sizes S-XL. To purchase shirt(s), send a check made
payable to SI Run, Inc. to the following address:
